Goats, Neighbors, and Fire Adaptive Tips: A Recap of Sunflower Meadows Park Clean-Up Day
π Goats, Gratitude & County Action:
Thank you to everyone who showed up for our Park Clean-Up Day on May 3rd! The event was a huge success, thanks to your energy, the presence of the Fire Goat Ranch herd, and key support from county staff. Neighbors came together to pull invasive weeds, pet some adorable goats, learn about wildfire preparedness, and most importantly, give input on how to improve our park.
Special thanks to Commissioner Eric Olivas for attending in person to answer questions and hear concerns. We shared ideas for how to spend the $250,000 in bond funding dedicated to Sunflower Meadows Parkβand the County responded immediately. Just six days later, the mailbox parking area was improved. Real progress, real fast! Stay tuned, thereβs more to come!!!
Susan Smith, Precinct 552 Chair did an amazing job with organizing this event. I know she has many more great things in the works and would love to have your collaboration. Reach out to Susan Smith here.
